Kieran typed slowly on his laptop as he tried not to misspell the numbers of his credit card. Online shopping wasn’t his idea of shopping at all, but with that awful weather in Glasgow, going out meant feeling cold and wet. As if that wasn’t enough, Lani was offered an excellent training opportunity back in Japan that she couldn’t refuse, so little Saaya had to stay behind and that meant, staying with Kieran for a few months. Taking her out during Christmas shopping frenzy wasn’t his idea of quality time either.

“What?” Kieran stared at the monitor with an unlit cigarette between his lips. “What is the problem now?”

The living room door opened slowly. Laken had just come out of the slower and his hair was all wet, tied up in a bun. He walked in and yawned, looking at Kieran as if he wasn’t even there. Kieran raised his head and stared into the other’s eyes. Laken stared back for a moment, emotionless, then suddenly his eyes went big and he pointed at Kieran.

“Your hair!” he covered his mouth as if he had said something he shouldn’t.

Kieran kept staring at him, his eyes narrowing slightly.

“It’s… red…” Laken muffed against his hand.

“Yeah.” Kieran touched his spikes and smiled a little. “I was tired of my face.”

“So you dye your hair?” Laken raised an eyebrow. His attention was suddenly outside as he walked towards the window. The sky was so grey it looked like 6pm when it wasn’t even 10am.

“It’s all I can do to change.” His eyes followed the other. Laken was so skinny Kieran felt a bit jealous, because he ate quite a bit when compared to him. Trying not to think about that, he turned his attention to the laptop again. “I hate this visa protection thing. It’s so fucking annoying.”

“Yeah…” Laken said quietly, obviously not listening.

“Laken…” he waited a few seconds “Laken…” he sighed, “I think we should fuck right now, what do you think?”

Laken was staring outside, watching the light rain falling on a girl who made no efforts to protect herself from it. He wondered if she was enjoying the rain or if she just couldn’t be bothered to try and avoid the unavoidable. “Yeahh….” He replied in the same tone.

Six months had passed since Laken moved in and only now Kieran was getting used to his airheadness. There was nothing he could do to change it so he tried to make the best out of it. It was extremely silly but also amusing to see Laken agreeing with every indecent thing he said. “You have a nice arse from here….”

“Hm?” Laken sounded, finally looking back at the other. “Are you doing your secret santa shopping?” he asked obliviously.

“I’m trying, but I can’t remember my password for this stupid visa thing.” Kieran pointed at his laptop.

“Pancakes…?”

“What?” he frowned.

“Oh, just suggesting…”

“… why would it be pancakes?”

Laken shrugged, sitting on the armchair across Kieran. “It’s the one I use.”

“Did you just tell me your password.” Kieran smirked because he knew Laken didn’t do it intentionally.

“…” he made a face as his finger went straight into his mouth for some nail biting.

Kieran laughed a little and kept typing on his laptop, trying to remember the password. For a moment, Laken just stood there, staring and eating his fingernails away.

“I think you should try pancakes….” He insisted, moving to his side. He pointed at the monitor. “Try it… might be it”

Kieran sighed and shook his head. Laken was such a weirdo sometimes. “It’s not going to be that. I would never use pancake as a password…” But Laken said nothing, he stared at Kieran until he gave in. “Fine fine…”

The black haired smiled as Kieran typed ‘pancakes’ for password. Suddenly, it went through and the payment was approved. Kieran frowned, eyes turning towards Laken, who still had a smile stamped on his face. “How…”

“Hmph, you shouldn’t have left your laptop opened on that thing the other day.” Laken replied.

“You changed my password?!”

“Well….” He crocked his head to the side. “It was kinda obvious… I saw it and thought I would test your creativity. Turns out you’re not really creative.”

Kieran just stared in disbelief as Laken stood up.

“That’s for reading my journal and stealing my trousers.” He said seriously, but then smiled. “You should change your password again… this time don’t use Saaya cos that’s what all parents do.” Laken opened the door to leave when Kieran called him out from the sofa.

“Laken…” the other turned and looked at him with his grey gentle eyes. “…how much worse would the payback be if I had sex with you while you’re drunk?”

Laken shook his head and rolled his eyes, walking away.

“… What if I got Lucy drunk and had sex with her?” Kieran said louder, teasing. “Laken…What about Hayaki? Would that be ok? Laken… come back!” He laughed to himself and sighed. “It worth the trouble anyway….” He murmured. “Ok, change password… what could it be… hm…I guess my birthday would be a good one.”
I finally wrote something!

Kieran is so darft sometimes u_u
